Programme information
This is an educational challenge. Budgets, investment offers and transactions are learning scenarios; no real investment funding is awarded and no purchases are required.
Up to 20 learners aged 10–18 complete the same eight quests individually over two weeks. There are four in-person sessions and one virtual clinic. Dates are shown in Nairobi time once confirmed.
Scoring (up to 320 points)
- Completion: 2 points for each of the 10 steps in a quest (160 total). This rewards taking part, not "right" answers.
- Evidence: 5 points for each of 2 accepted evidence items per quest (80 total).
- Assessment: up to 10 points per quest from a facilitator rubric (80 total).
The leaderboard is sorted by total points. The overall champion is decided by assessment points. Ties share a rank, and speed is never a tiebreaker. Rankings are provisional until an admin finalises them.
Certificates
Learners who complete every required step and submit all eight quests can receive a completion certificate, released by an admin.
The learning design is competency-based and informed by inquiry, action and reflection.
